February 2024 marked our impactful presence at R+T Stuttgart, the world’s leading sun shading trade fair, where we celebrated groundbreaking achievements in smart technology. We at Coulisse received two esteemed R+T Innovation Awards for our advancements in Motionblinds, our smart technology brand. From February 19-23, we showcased innovative partnerships with leading tech companies like Eve, ABB, Samsung, and Google, while our Coulisse-Lienesch booth highlighted cutting-edge textile collections, including sustainable materials like recycled yarns and FSC®-certified bamboo.

Motionblinds’ Smart Innovations

The Motionblinds booth, covering over 1,100 square meters, featured our latest smart motors utilizing Matter-over-Thread technology. Located at the entrance, the exhibit captivated audiences with immersive experiences and live demonstrations, including a holobox display and a 26-meter video screen showcasing Jasper Abels’ exclusive AI-generated video. Industry giants such as Eve, ABB, Samsung, and Google collaborated with us in presenting a vision of the future of smart living with Motionblinds.

Introducing a Complete Smart Motor Line

At the event’s Innovation Zone, we debuted our full range of Motionblinds solutions, designed for every interior shading need. Building upon the initial launch in 2018, the lineup showcased both battery-powered USB-C rechargeable motors and wired systems for commercial use. With integrated Matter-over-Thread technology by Eve, these motors promised seamless user control, data privacy, and compatibility with popular smart home systems, including Apple Home, Google Home, Samsung SmartThings, and Alexa.

Dual Innovation Awards for Motionblinds

We were honored with two R+T Innovation Awards. The first, for ‘Building Automation,’ recognized Motionblinds’ Adaptive Shading feature, which adjusts shades automatically based on sunlight, optimizing natural light and energy use. The second award, in ‘Interior Sun Shading Systems,’ highlighted the debut of Motionblinds’ Smart Frame, the world’s first solar-powered motorized pleated and honeycomb blind in a magnetic frame designed for hassle-free installation on tilt and turn windows.

Innovative Textile Collections

Our acquisition of Lienesch in January 2024 reinforced our comprehensive range for customers. At R+T, our Coulisse-Lienesch presented textile collections featuring textured fabrics, sustainable Honeycell® honeycomb, recycled fibers, and FSC®-certified bamboo materials in modern tones for 2024. Notably, the Fundament collection offered an accessible foundation for any window shading selection, including roller and pleated blinds.

New Showroom and Expanding Campus

Following the R+T event, we opened a new Motionblinds showroom in Enter, the Netherlands, providing an interactive space for hands-on demonstrations and training. Additionally, we advanced our new Campus project, with a 15,000-square-meter warehouse set to open in Spring 2024, signaling continued growth and innovation in smart home solutions.
